The Opportunity
The role requires a predominant on-site presence (approximately 80–90%), with primary responsibilities focused on monitoring contractor activities and ensuring strict adherence to project specifications and regulatory requirements. This includes the coordination of inspections, engagement with clients and statutory authorities, and the provision of regular updates to the Superintendent.
Key Responsibilities
- Hold Point Management: Conduct the review and formal release of hold points in accordance with project and municipal specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Perform audits and reviews of quality assurance documentation and test results to verify compliance with established standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor contractor operations to ensure alignment with Work Health and Safety (WHS) and environmental management systems.
- Site Reporting: Maintain a comprehensive daily site diary documenting personnel attendance, site activities, and any arising issues.
- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate consistent and professional communication with the Superintendent and contractors to ensure effective project coordination and issue resolution.
About You
You’re an experienced civil construction professional keen to collaborate and share your knowledge with the team. You’ll demonstrate:
- Background in managing site activities for land development or infrastructure projects in either a construction company or consulting firm.
- Solutions focused approach to your work
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A safety-first approach
- Tech savvy with experience in using digital inspection applications such as IAuditor or similar
- Formal qualifications in engineering, construction or a related discipline will be looked upon favourably
